Joel I. Hoffman is a life-long resident of Montgomery County, Maryland. Mr. Hoffman attended the University of Maryland where he graduated in 1964 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and then graduated from the American University, Washington College of Law in 1967 with the degree of Juris Doctor. He is admitted to practice in both the State and Federal Courts of both Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Hoffman is an experienced trial attorney, concentrating in business litigation, product liability, serious personal injury and other tort litigation matters. For more than 35 years, Mr. Hoffman has represented clients on construction claims, in both arbitration hearings and trials. He has been advising clients in the areas of wills, trusts and estates, general corporate business matters and all types of commercial transactions.

Mr. Hoffman is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association. He has served on the boards of several homeowners and civic associations; was recognized by Montgomery County for his service on the Board of Directors of the Karma House; and most recently Mr. Hoffman was given a commendation from the State of Maryland for his work in Potomac Community Resources for assisting mentally and developmentally challenged individuals who have expressed an interest in photography.


Susan J. Rubin is also a life long resident of Montgomery County, Maryland. In 1967, Ms. Rubin graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Ohio State University with the degree of Bachelor of Arts, and went on to receive her Master of Arts from Columbia University in 1969. Ms. Rubin then obtained her Juris Doctor from George Washington University School of Law in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Rubin is a member of the Supreme Court of the United States as well as the Federal and State Courts of New York, Washington, D.C. and the State of Maryland. She concentrates her practice in the area of family law. She regularly consults with clients on matters of divorce, custody, visitation and marital property rights. Ms. Rubin is an accomplished trial attorney and is constantly representing her clients regarding simple and complex matrimonial trial matters. Ms. Rubin is always caring and is conscious of the traumatic experiences that her clients are experiencing.
